Aliye Celik, Co-Founder of CSU, Receives ICCC Pioneer Award 2023

Aliye Pekin Celik, PhD, co-founder, and Chair of the Board of CSU received International Council Caring Communities (ICCC), Pioneer Award 2023, at the 30th Anniversary Gala of ICCC at the Delegate’s Dining Room of the NY Headquarters. 

ICCC, an ECOSOC accredited NGO, is involved in education and training, urban planning, health, information communication technology, public private partnerships, tourism and public administration. This award was established to recognize leaders whose visionary foresight, leadership and creative endeavors have enhanced the society. Dr.Celik was given the award for “her special talents, leadership positions in various international and national organizations which have inspired new mindsets and stimulated greater understanding of the importance of sustainable urbanization and human settlements during her work at the UN. The award recognizes her continued unique leadership as co-founder  and Chair of the Board of the Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization.”
